What drop and refill mean in SMM services

4 min read

Two terms appear in almost every SMM price list: drop and refill. They describe what happens to the numbers after an order is delivered, and they explain part of the price difference between services with similar names. This article explains both terms, how refill works on Likeli and how to use the refill period when you choose a service.

What drop means

Drop is the part of a delivered order that disappears later. You order 1,000 followers, the order completes, and a few weeks later 920 of them are still on the profile. The 80 that left are the drop.

Drop has a few common causes:

  • Platforms regularly remove accounts and actions they consider inauthentic, including some accounts used by promotion services, and some accounts are closed by their owners.
  • Changes on your side, such as switching the profile to private or changing the username, can stop delivery or lower the numbers people see.

The amount of drop differs between services and platforms, and it can change when a platform updates its systems. No provider can promise that it will be zero.

What refill means

Refill is a free top-up of the numbers that dropped, up to the amount you ordered. It is available only for services that include a refill period, and only during that period.

On Likeli, the refill period is part of the service details you see before you pay. It can be, for example, 30 or 90 days, some services are marked Lifetime refill, and some have no refill at all. The period is counted from the date of the order.

Here is how it plays out. You order 1,000 followers with a 30-day refill on 1 March. By 20 March, 60 of them have gone, so you request a refill and the 60 are restored. If more leave after 31 March, the period is over and those are not covered.

A service marked Non-drop describes how it usually behaves. Platforms can still remove accounts, so in practice the refill period is what protects the order.

How to request a refill on Likeli

You request a refill from your order list, without writing to support. First check whether there is a drop at all: each order shows a Start count, the number the profile had when the order began. The start count plus the quantity you ordered is the number to compare with what the profile shows now.

  1. Open My orders and find the completed order.
  2. If the service has a refill period that has not ended, the order shows a Refill button.
  3. Press it. The order then shows Refill requested, and the request goes to the provider automatically.
  4. If the numbers drop again, you can send another request after 24 hours, as long as the period lasts.

Keep the profile or post public and the link unchanged, because the refill goes to the same link as the original order. If the button does not appear when you expect it, or the refill does not arrive, open a ticket with the order number.

Two related cases are handled automatically. If an order cannot be completed, it is marked as partial or canceled, and the part that was not delivered returns to your balance. Some services can also be canceled while they run, and the unspent part returns to the balance in the same way.

What refill does not cover

Refill covers drops that happen during the refill period on a link that still works, up to the amount you ordered. It does not cover:

  • drops that happen after the period has ended
  • services listed without refill
  • a link that no longer works, such as a deleted post, a changed username or a profile switched to private
  • numbers above the ordered amount, since a refill only restores what dropped

How to choose a service

Start with what the numbers are for. Followers and subscribers stay on a profile for months, so for them a refill period is worth paying for. Refill periods are common in services such as Instagram followers and Telegram subscribers. For followers and subscribers, services with a refill period often cost more than those without, so compare the price together with the period.

Views on a video or likes on a post for a short campaign matter mostly in the first days, and a service without refill can be enough there.

Then compare the details of each service in the price list:

  • start time and speed per day, since gradual delivery looks more natural on a small account
  • the refill period, and whether it covers the time you plan to rely on the numbers
  • whether the service can be canceled while it runs
  • the minimum and maximum order size

A few habits prevent most problems. Do not run two orders for the same link at the same time, because the start counts of the two orders get mixed and neither can be checked properly. Do not delete the post or change the username during the order and the refill period. Order amounts that fit the size of the account.

Questions and answers

Is a refill the same as a refund?

No. A refill restores the numbers that dropped, up to the amount you ordered, at no cost. Money returns to your balance in other cases: when an order cannot be completed, or when you cancel a service that allows canceling while it runs.

How long is the refill period?

It depends on the service and is shown in its details before you pay, for example 30 or 90 days. The period is counted from the order date.

How often can I request a refill?

Once every 24 hours for the same order, as long as the refill period lasts.

Why is there no Refill button on my order?

The button appears only on completed orders of services that have a refill period, while that period lasts. It is also hidden while a previous refill request is in progress. If none of this explains it, open a ticket with the order number.

Does Non-drop mean the numbers will never fall?

No. It describes how the service usually behaves. Platforms can still remove accounts, so check the refill period as well.
